I'm confused about whether or not the US version of the 2007 Passat
wagon has DSG as an option or not. I've seen some apparently US reviews
say that the DSG transmission is amazing while others say that the lack
of DSG hurts performance. Even VW's own site shows it as a Passat
option in one area but not another.
Has DSG: http://www.vwfeatures.com/passat.html
Hasn't DSG: http://www.vw.com/passatwagon/index.html
I'm looking specifically at the 2007 Passat wagon 3.6L 4MOTION.
I really, really hate torque converters. I have a 2005 Accord Hybrid
and the sloppy AT has been driving me nuts. (That, and Honda can't keep
the malfunction light off.) The Audi A3 has DSG but it seems overpriced
and excessively heavy.

AFAIK the V6 is only available with a slushbox.
