Just bought and drove 600 miles.  Need to tune up with ignition wires,
cap etc.  When going to web the parts stores list only the 1.6 and 1.9
liter engines. Apparently mine is a 2 liter made in Germany.  What
gives? Will the 1.9 L parts fit the 2L?  Where can parts be ordered?

Is it watercooled or aircooled ?

According to my Bentley manual, the only 2L engine was aircooled (Engine
code CV). They stopped importing it into the US in '83 but presumably kept
manufacturing it in Germany for other markets.

The watercooled should be either 1.9L (Engine code DH, '83-'85) or 2.1L
(Engine code MV, '86+).

If it is in fact watercooled, is it possible that it's a 2.1L not 2L ?
Replacing the original 1.9 with a later 2.1 was quite common for the '83 to
'85s, for an extra 10 HP plus solving the leaky water gasket issue.

If it is the 2L (Aircooled), just tell the parts store it's an '83 and they
should see it.
