1928 Porter Touring Car10 May 2010 06:23 GMT2
(Car Lust Blog) - Today, building a new car from previously introduced
components such as engines, instruments, body, and chassis pieces is
nothing unique. Lotus even does it with a Toyota engine. But back just
before The Great Depression, when there were practically more

I doubt I could afford to *park* 'em in NYC, let alone buy 'em, but a
feller can dream, can't he?

Need help identifying this car26 Sep 2009 00:52 GMT7
A friend provided a photo of a car that was owned by a relative and
would like to have it identified.  The photo was taken in the twenties
and may be from Europe (France possibly).  Here is a link to the
photo.

antique temp sensor24 Jul 2009 00:05 GMT4
Need info on how a mechanical temp sensor works and how much
instantaneous current flows on a 6 volt unit.  It is a King-Seeley
unit apparently with a pulsating contact in the sensor.  It works on a
6 volt power suppy with high current available but not on a 3 amp

The good, the bad, the stupid...06 Sep 2010 03:35 GMT1
I have been working for a while on a car for a chapter member that was

someone who should be banned from ever picking up a wrench.  A liar to
boot.  Anyone who wants this as***e's name drop me a note.  This clown

A break in the action...04 Sep 2010 12:50 GMT2
After working myself silly on other people's projects for so long I
have finally gotten a few minutes to work on one of my own.  Today I
spent the day doing much needed stuff on my Daytona, getting it ready
for a 'tour of the county' tomorrow.  I do plan on driving more than
living(?) in Ohio04 Sep 2010 00:00 GMT1
hey, I'll throw up a post here to show that I'm alive and kicking.
I've got a 52 Commander 4-door, well, the top 3/4 of it anyway. I've
been kicking around the idea of setting it on a new floorpan that
would sit on a Chevy S-10 frame. the frame it's got now is not as bad
Studebaker Champ Pickup Rim Question03 Sep 2010 05:04 GMT5
I just bought what I believe is a 1963 Champ pickup with a full-flow
289.  It had 2 flat tires and I brought rims from my 64 Champ pickup
to put on it to haul home. They did not fit, my rims from my 64 Champ
are 5 X 5 bolt pattern, the rims on this truck were 5 X 4 3/4.  I am
