Blend Door, 1992 Caravan20 Nov 2009 20:52 GMT1
I have heard quite a bit about this Blend Door, and after ruining my last
Grand Voyager chasing a non-existant water pump problem, I'll ask first.
The lever/cable is bound up  and will only move 1/2 from Hot towards the
Cold position. So, I figure the good old Blend door is jammed. ...
Sorta ot...went to get my 'new' van today...18 Nov 2009 19:42 GMT12
$150 bucks on eBay, 120 miles from home. Didn't think you could go that
far in Mass and not run into the ocean...
Of all the fears I had, the one was that the brake lines were rusted out.
Anything else I can deal with. But I have AAA Plus, so a tow is a phone

05 caravan rusty hood15 Nov 2009 21:03 GMT17
Subject says it all, almost. Fixing the paint nicks before winter, and
noticed rust bubbles on front edge of hood, inside and outside. Dealer
says SOL- my rust-through warranty (5 yrs/100k) expired 8 days ago.
Anybody have any luck getting Chrysler to kick in part of repair cost

Turn signal problem Dodge Durango11 Nov 2009 22:58 GMT1
Dodge Durango, about a 2002 model has a peculiar problem with  the
left turn signal.
As a matter of record, the Right side works fine.
On the left side, the "in dash" light blinks really fast, and we

1994 Caravan Heater - How hot is yours?07 Nov 2009 16:25 GMT5
I recently acquired a 1994 Dodge Caravan. I am concerned abour the heater
output. Turning it on to high heat in Seattle's 50-60F weather, the air coming
out seems to only get warm, not nearly as hot as my previous 1987 Nissan van.
I am wondering if this heater is partially plugged ...
PICS: The 2010 Dodge Challenger in DETONATOR YELLOW06 Nov 2009 21:16 GMT1
The Dodge Challenger drips with style and not too bad comfort, plu
it's plenty fun in its own right, too. As you all know, there's not
lot of new stuff going on with Chrysler's 2010 lineup, so to kee
things interesting with the Challenger, they're doing it with colors

More on the brakes issue...20 Nov 2009 21:24 GMT2
Well, I know I need to take The Truck in to get the brakes done.  As is
my usual M.O., I'd like to get some opinions from here as to what work
might need to be done.  There's more going on than just the sticky
caliper, but the other stuff was so intermittent and seemingly that I
Let's see how this works on rust!20 Nov 2009 14:23 GMT2
Well, put the '04 2500 on the lift yesterday, and sprayed the snot out
of it using Eastwood's Anti-rust
(http://www.eastwood.com/rust-solutions/prevention/ew-heavy-duty-anti-rust-32oz.html).
Did make it look better, if nothing else, and I did the oil pan which

Engine or brakes?19 Nov 2009 05:24 GMT13
Had one of those scary moments owners of old trucks sometimes have :)
For those of you who don't know me, I own a 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT 4x4,
v8, 4.7l.  I'm not a mechanic, but I'm trying to learn, not to do stuff
myself, but so I can talk to my trusty mechanic intelligently :)
1980 360ci 727 torquefligt won`t shift16 Nov 2009 22:42 GMT3
i just bought a 1980 dodge 1-ton van (as is).  got it running and drove
it home on the freeway but couldn't go over 40mph. when i got off the
freeway i couldn't hear the transmission shift, so i am assuming it is
stuck in 1st or 2nd gear..
95 Dakota - engine cranks over but won't start10 Nov 2009 02:02 GMT6
I have a 1995 Dodge Dakota, V8, 5spd, 220k miles. I was replacing the
radiator the other day when I had the truck running to check for leaks
and it just stalled. After that, it would turn over but won't start.
Not even a pop of combustion. After checking for various fuel and
Towing -- How big a boat or trailer?05 Nov 2009 21:50 GMT3
Hi there --
I have a 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 4x4 quad cab six foot bed with the 5.9 liter
non-hemi V8 engine. (Which I love.)
I've only towed things with the truck 2 or 3 times, but now I am going to

Frame/Chassis05 Nov 2009 15:58 GMT-
Hi all, have a question about 2nd gen Ram frame/chassis.  I believe
the '94-'01('02) Rams were all built on the same platform, as opposed
to the newer models, where the HDs are separate from the 1/2 tons.
Can anyone verify this?  I feel a project comin' on, and I'd like 3/4
