While I was replacing the supercharger belt and serpentine belt on my Grand Prix, I tried spinning all of the pulleys by hand. The serpentine belt tensioner pulley and the 3" supercharger idler pulley didn't spin very easily as they should.

During some spirited driving recently, I heard half of my serpentine belt rip off and rattle around the engine bay. Luckily half of it stayed intact so I was able to go pick up a new belt and get back home without it disintegrating completely.

My serpentine belt shredded itself a few days ago. Since the supercharger belt has to be removed to work with the serpentine belt, I replaced it as well. I took pictures of the process and wrote up a quick guide.

Time to fix the engine. - Quite browned coolant (level ok, no leak), dirty and a little bit oily - Engine oil at recommended level 10W40 synthetic (leak 1quart every 2 months at the main seal but will get fixed new oil pan gasket and main seal)

I feel like a complete idiot for even asking this... When my remote was lost last time, I know I was able to turn off the car alarm manually but I've lost that set of keys again and have no remote. Now, I can not get the alarm to shut off.

What is RIM or RRIM plastic exactly. Don't need to know how it is injected or that RRIM is reinforced or that it's black. I need to do some repairs and yes, SEM urethane should be an OK repair and so should windshield urethane adhesive. But what is the stuff?
