No, you're still a twonk.

Do stupid things, we pick on you. Not difficult to grasp.

So you thought you'd join them...

Ah yes, but picture this scenario.  You are overtaking a tram on the LEFT.
Parked cars are a bit further ahead, so you speed up to 60 or even more so
you can make it in front of the tram.  But wait, a guy on a side street on
the other side of the road has just made a right turn, in front of the tram,
and can't see you as you are completely blocked by the tram.  You don't see
this guy until its too late ...and you have nowhere to go!!  He is now
blocking your opening!

In any case, it seems like a stupid thing to pick on me for.  Everyday I see
people do much more stupid things.

Of course it is much safer to pass the tram on the right when it's only
going slow too, right?

How about the poor bastard that just turned out of the next side street
in front of the tram and now finds himself face to face with you with
your foot flat to the floor somewhere you have no right to be?

Or the person who checks over their shoulder, sees nothing and pulls out
of a parking space on the opposite side of the road, only to find you
roaring down the near side of the tram opposite him, with nowhere to go.

You simply do not pass trams on the right. It's not very difficult. If
there's no room to pass, well guess what, you get to travel at tram speed.

Well overtaking on the left would have been difficult due to the parked
cars.  It was downhill so I had a good view, and there weren't any cars on
the other side of the road for ages.

You don't get out much part Toorak, do you?

Ford and Holden still sell hundreds of them, as do a few others. They may
not be the *most* common vehicle on the roads, but there's still shitloads
of them out there.

I guess if you weren't such a cockhead illegally overtaking trams on the
right side, you'd notice.

Noddy.

It would appear that nobody in this newsgroup has what's called a sense of
humour!!  Of course I know what a god damn station wagon is - but my point
was that they're practically non-existant these days.

Why is it called a Station Wagon? What is the origin of the name?

Maybe a dumb question but just one that struck me on the way home last
night.
