Um...most likely not.
The E46 330i accelerator pedal is a Hall sensor from 2001 on (not sure about 2000; on the 323i there was a throttle cable but the butterfly could be counterdriven by a stepper motor). If it's sticky you can try to lubricate it if you can figure out how to get it apart without destroying it.

More likely the throttle body is gunked up. Try popping the hood and moving it by hand. If it doesn't move smoothly and seems to have a little hitch in it, get in there with some carb cleaner and a rag. --scott
