Call when you have about 300 miles left on the odometer reading ... and about 14 days in advance of when you would like to do it for economic reasons. They will be happy to schedule on a day when there is less rush of it for them and can put you in more comfortably for them. You have to work with more lead time ... but having to wait for an oil change ... when you might have a long trip in the future and have to put off for care of your investment. This is an itch to be avoided if you can ... and early up you schedule with them allows for that.
IMO and all that rot !!!

Today I phoned my local BMW agent for an oil change on my X 5. I put less than 5K miles a year, I do an extra oil change (before the inspection lights come on). The earliest date they could give me in September 28, that is more than a month away...I realize oil change is not an urgent repair, but one month is a little long to wait?
What are the experiences of this group?
