Like you I got no information from my dealer when I bought my Punto a few
months back, apart from a verbal explanation that the car was covered by the
AA. My father bought an identical Punto from another dealer and he got a
card with the AA details on it! Both of these cars were typical ex-fleet
cars, a few months old. As I have Green Flag cover anyway I have not
bothered, but I will be going to the dealer my father used for any more
Fiats I might buy, so I suggest voting with your feet to anyone considering
buying a used Fiat from a dealer, and ask what you get before you part with
your money.

David.

I had a look back to my previous car, also a Fiat, and they sent out a
welcome letter, with the expiry date for the warranty, a brochure to
convince me to buy the 5 year extended warranty, and a card for the AA
cover to stick in the window, with the car details and expiry date.

In the manual for the new car, I have a card holder for the windscreen,
but no card, and no contact number if I do need the AA cover. So I
figured they should send out a card. I'll need to have another look, and
see what else I can find out.

Thanks for the reply though Mike.

I didn't - the aa cover is a corporate one for fiat UK rather than for
you personally, there is a number to ring and that's it. I only had to
call them out once (garage did not tighten the battery connections) and
I range the number gave them my car reg and they sent someone out.

I didn't receive any paperwork from fiat at all, I only had to claim
under my warranty once - when the jack broke.  They obviously have a
record of the car and the warranty transfer must be done when you use it.

Having bought a used Fiat Idea a month or so ago, we are entitled to the
remainder of the warranty and AA cover - the dealer have supposedly
arranged this for us, but we haven't received any notification that this
has gone through.

Should we not have received a card for the AA and a welcome pack from
Fiat?

Anyone able to help?

Thanks.
