Toyota trucks were known for cig lighter meldown 'cuz of the small wires on the back. The fix was to solder in a piece of 14g solid copper in place of the wimpy 20 gauge conductor they had back there. With the fix, if something was still wrong, the fuse would blow. instead of the socket.
