Yep same here. I lived with that hesitation for many years. The new throttle body gasket fixed it.

My '92 4.9L did the same thing. I found a TSB that addressed the problem. It stated that the throttle body gasket was leaking and gave a p/n for a revised gasket. ( Ford p/n F5TZ-93936-BA) Sure enough, when I pulled the throttle body off I found the gasket sucked in on one side.
