If you can figure out how they list the outside temperature sensor.  The
bumper diagram doesn't show the part or its location, and about 20 mintes
paging through the various parts lists doesn't find me where it's
categorized.

www.slhondaparts.com should have a diagram of your sensor's location.

The manual says that the outside temperature sensor is located "in the front
bumper", but where?

Our Pilot's sensor is either damaged or very dirty and won't read any
temperature above about 83 F.  I'd like to at least clean the surface of it
and inspect it before paying $$$ for a tech to look at it.

Is the climate control system affected by these misreadings?  I'd swear it
is -- it was 95 F over the weekend and it seemed that I had to crank the
temp down to around 63 to get the comfort level I typically associate with a
setting of 68.  But we're not used to these kind of temps this early in the
year, so it could very well just be my imagination.
