Re: mode control dial light

Honda uses cheap lights in the panel. They burn out and also become loose. Sometimes hitting the panel will bring them back on either they were loose or the element vibrated and welded itself back together. I don't know about the Civic but the ODy you have to remove the dash to replace the bulbs. As for the noise there are a number of relays behind and under the dash so it could be any of them. You will have to try and isolate the noise...

I have a '02 Civic EX and have two questions.
1. Last week the light for the air mode control was not light, it was like that for a couple of days. About that same time I heard some buzzing noises comes from the panel--the sound was intermitent . . not constant. Also heard it when I went to start the engine once. The light is back on now, but have heard the noises a few other times. Any idea what the problem might be?
2. The lights for the AC and recirculation have been out for some time now but those features work fine. Is that a fuse that needs to be replaced? Checked the fuse box and didn't see a fuse for these components.
Any one have any idea what the problem(s) might be?
Thanks!!
