Rather, it looks like Nissan is imitating Cadillac styling (or whomever *they* are imitating). It's weird the way the window line dives beneath the line of the hood -- creates a fractured appearance, IMO.
The instrument panel of the new Versa is more attractive than the Stanza's. Its dash could use a few mild curves to soften the angularity. By comparison, the interior of the 2006 seems overcrowded & frumpy.
But, OTOH, the strangeness offers Nissan designers lots of opportunities to tweak/refine its appearance in following years. Maybe the '08 will be better....

Sounds more like they're trying to give it more power for more sex appeal to the younger buyers. It's funny how the Sentra is starting to resemble the Maxima and Altima!!

What is the deal here? The nissan sentra went from a 1.8L PZEV engine to a 2.0L ULEV. Now to me that's a step in the wrong direction. Sure, the engine is bigger and more powerful now, but they went from having the cleanest gas/petrol engine in the industry to an engine that is only subpar in meeting our expectations of offering cleaner cars to buyers/consumers.
For that very reason, I can no longer recommend the sentra to potential buyers. Even Ford of all companies still offers PZEV in their Focus's. What in the world is wrong with nissan? Sounds to me like they are not really interested in the common good after all. For them is all about frofits. They are no better than any other corporation out there.
