Are you satisfied with the result?

I've done the Koni shock conversion. It wasn't difficult. You need to be careful how much of the strut you cut off. Here is a link to the process. http://www.tech-session.com/kb/index.php?page=index_v2&id=69&c=4 Good luck

I need to replace my front struts. As an alternative to just replacing the front units, I've come across the idea of cutting off the shock absorber part of the strut and replacing it with a Koni insert. This sides a bit strange to me, but Koni is a reputable brand and the conversion is considerably cheaper than just replacing the struts. Does anyone have any experience with this conversion? How reliable is it?
