I guess I have a few next steps then. I'll pull the radio and totally disconnect it. I'll also pull the front wheel and have a look see at the antenna. I was always curious what was up with it. It makes no attempt to move whatsoever, nor do I ever feel any resistence when I manually manipulate it so I figured it must have blown a fuse somewhere..
One other question, if I may.... My 944 has a buzzer that sounds whenever the driver door is open. Is this normal? I could understand if I left the key in the ignition but this buzzer sounds for no reason other than the driver door is open. Seems odd.

0.1 ampere times 12 volts times 24 hours equals 28 watt hours. Your battery is probably a 60 ampere hour battery or about 720 watt hours. You have a problem.
You also have wire going to the radio which is always hot. It may not have a fuse. It is to keep the data in memory when you shut off the main radio switch. It could be grounded.
You can take the front wheel off and get to the power antenna to check for current leakage. It probably has a fuse in line somewhere. Mine does.

Not sure if the radio is original -- it's a Blaupunkt -- but in any event it did lose power when I disconnected the appropriate fuse (#7) so I guess its safe to assume that it is not the problem. I had checked with a local audio dealer and he didn't seem to feel that drawing .1 amps was a problem.
My extending antenna, however, has never worked. I manually lower and extend it as need be. I also don't recall seeing a fuse for it. Is it wired differently? Maybe this is the culprit!
I also noticed that the positive battery connection has several smaller wires attached to it in additon to the one thicker starter wire. Does anyone know what these are for and if they bypass the fuse panel?

have you removed the radio from the car? do that and measure again - radio may be connected without fuse - it's not original is it?

My concern is that even with ALL the fuses removed I was still showing a current drain. I had thought that it would be about nill. Am I correct or does this mean I have other problems like a bad relay somewhere????

Bill is right. You have something, probably the radio, drawing too much current. You will need to hunt it down.

aaah, delet the "h" at the end, you meant 100mA - that's a tenth of an amp, which is high - if you have a radio, remove it and measure again, the clock doesn't draw that much current. My guess is a defective radio or defective alarm (if you have an after market alarm) - typically a leaky capacitor

Greetings!
The (new) battery on my '83 944 will go dead over the period of a few days if left unattended. Not sure if it is related, but at night when I drive with the headlites on I also noticed that the alternator idiot lite will lite very, very dimly.
I hooked a meter up between the negative battery cable and ground and starting pulling fuses but none of them had a significant effect on my current draw --I only noticed a slight decrease when I pulled the fuse for the clock / radio.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions on what to check or do next? Any feedback would be appreciated.
