I JUST purchased a reader and tried it on my wife's OBW. The connector faces mostl;y down and is 'next' to the the coin tray near the driver's door.
The protocol is OBDII ISO 9642 or w'ever. The ISO one.
I'm using the handheld Innova Equus 3100. $88 from Amazon.
