Recently took the wife's 03 H6 OBW from texas to nevada and back. got tanks ranging from 25.5 to 28 . 2 adults and some luggage/camping gear. A/C on and often with the cruise on 75 for dozens of miles at a time.
not too bad

=========== 97 Legacy here. Just drove around 320 miles round trip this weekend. 29 MPG on the way up, but 27.5 on the way back. I took a different route on the way back and bypassed a few smaller towns and less construction so my overall speed increased. Averaged about 60 MPH for the trip. No AC was running so that saved a mile or two in the overall MPG?

Hello all,
I recently got rid of my second Subaru. After 10 years of owning Subies: '93 Legacy L, '02 Impreza 2.5 TS and '02 Outback, putting well over 300 miles on them (with my wife) I have to report I am done with them for at least a while.
I had an opportunity to get '00 MB E320T 4Matic in very good condition, low millage at good price I could not to not pass on. It is different car, but MPG wise - on 89 octane fuel , 25 highway range and average speed 55MPH I got 29.5 MPG - I figure I could never archive on neither on my Subies.
Anyways I will enjoy MB and Subaru will have to come up with something real convincing.
