I just hit 150K on my Integra, figured I'd change the PCV. I'm not

It's been starting fine.
I think there is a short somewhere. I found it dead a couple of weeks
ago as though it had no battery. Clock and radio needed to be reset.

I found the axle boot ripped.
 Do the axles slide in/out of the transmission?And how hard is it to
break the balljoint loose from the lower control arm.?

Except the cat. converter, I just replaced the converter a few months
ago, what else can cause the check engine light on again?
