My alternator went out on my 1994 Acura Legend and after it was
replaced the car will not start and if it does it only stays cranked
about 5-10 secs. Car was running and starting perfect before we
replaced the alternator.Also had to replace battery after we replaced

My '08 X makes what I can only best describe as being a soft conga
drum sound and is most prominent when I drive off slowly with it after
the car's been sitting around for a few hours, especially in its first
drive in the morning.

This mite be impossible to answer but since MANY of you are "experts"
viz Acura's, you mite be able to give me some personal opinions.
I am considering purchasing a used Acura, vintage 1998 to 2003. If

I sometimes leave my cruise control on for extended periods on my '01
TL (I forget to turn it off). I'm wondering if there is some kind of
vacuum pump that might suffer because of that.

My daughter has a 2004 TSX that intermittently losses 2 quarts of oil
in 500 miles. No external leak seen, tailpipe is clean, no blue
smoke. Dealer has done cylinder pressure check (normal all
cylinders), changed PCV valve. and finally given up. She drives 70%

'98 3.2 TL. This car is garaged, babied and only has 62K While
accelerating on the freeway, the speedometer suddenly froze at 48 MPH. I
backed off to see if it would kick in, but it continued to rise to 48 and
stop. The odometer was still accurate and the speedometer ...

Who makes good, inexpensive kayak rack for an RSX?
This will be used for one small kayak (10 ft) for short distances.
