Im hoping you can help, I own a Alfa GTV which has been causing me
some problems just of late. There is a ticking noise coming from the
engine, I have taken it to a garge in Nuneaton who told me it must
need a new cam-belt and tentioner which i had fixed. But after £400 it

Lately I've been having some strange problems with ignition. When I
try to start my engine in the morning it fires up and then dies with a

I am sorting things like insurance and breakdown cover. For the latter,

We have a 147 2.0 which is coming up to one year old.
It has done only 5870 miles. When we tried to book it in to the dealer, they
told us it didn't need servicing until it had done the mileage -
irrespective of the age.

Having just purchased a late 1999 146Ti I'm now doing the maintenance rounds
on the car.
Can anyone advise if pollen filters were fitted to this car and if so where
is it / how is it changed ? Also where is the fuel filter located ?

Why aren't fuel prices dropping like expected?  There is a web site that
shows a graph of fuel prices since 1995.  I thought after the war we would
see a decrease, but regular gas is up 10 cents a gallon from the same time

In the past few months, I read from this ng a thread about this
question I have, but I unfortunately lost the answer. Here it is:
My 2000 156 2.5 engine cannot go beyond 5000 rpm (or so), no matter

i buyed my alfa 146 a week ago,and i was happy with it untill today.

Is it just my car or where I live, or is the Alfa 156 aerial (I believe
built into the rear screen) useless for long wave and medium wave radio
reception? Also, if the aircon is running, it gets even worse. My crap old
Renault, with the classic pointy metal stick on the roof never ...
