I guess my old Alfa is getting in trouble :
when using the clutch pedal (the left one if the dictionnary was
right...) it is loose for half the course and then works perfectly so i
can change gear.

Having problems posting so I apologise if I've posted this already.
Has anyone used any OBD-II software for ALfa and if so which one?
WOuld VAG-COM work (i.e. software for AUdi/Voltswagon).
I'd like some simple software to read fault codes and maybe to clear

Could someone explain to me why is it good for the engine to keep the
clutch pedal pressed while waiting at traffic lights?
Or is it completely wrong?

I am due a cambelt change (5 years old now) and a 48000 service. I also
have a couple of other issues (knocking noise when braking as low speed
ie in traffic, and leaking transmission fluid from front left axle

My wife had a brake failure on our 1999 156 1.8T. The garage says a brake
pipe has rusted through and all the fluid escaped. Just thought I'd mention
it so that people can inspect theirs for similar corrosion.

Lost Ignition key.
Cannot find code.
Shop will re-key if I bring in cylinder.
(housecall is EXTREMELY expensive!)

Hello, I have misplaced my manual so can someone tell me what the yellow
'engine/ fan' shaped warning light indicates. It has just come on and is
positioned to the right of the '8' on the rev counter.

From recently I am an owner of Alfa Romero 146 1.6TS.
I was wondering how should it be driven to gain what is
the best for the engine?
Is it up to 3500 rpm, arround 3000-5000 rpm or else?

Wonder if anyone can help. I am looking for an idea of the  indicative
cost to have an oil pump and oil seals replaced on an Alfa 156 T-Spark
