Quiz Of The Week14 Apr 2006 16:23 GMT20
(prompted by following a 156 recently)
Hands up anyone who's ever opened the boot of their 156 with the key and
forgotten to swivel the badge back into place?
<raises hand, many times>
GT + 17" wheels + snow chains13 Apr 2006 18:22 GMT8
Does anyone know if it is possible (or advisable) to fit snow chains on
the 17" wheels on the GT?
If not, can anyone recommend any winter tyres - and where is the best
place to buy them? I'm guessing KwikFit isn't the best idea:-)
147 Headlight Cluster Back Cover13 Apr 2006 09:52 GMT3
Does anyone know what the part number is for the plastic cover that
covers the back of the headlights (the thing you have to take off to
change a bulb) ?
In the shear joy of managing to change the change a sidelight bulb
New 156 hifi install12 Apr 2006 17:16 GMT2
I've just bought myself an 05 plate 156, and installed a Pioneer head unit,
sounds great, looks great, the only thing bugging me is that i dont seem to
be able to find anything to enable me to use the controls on the steering
wheel with the Pioneer.
Quiet Alfa?11 Apr 2006 22:16 GMT11
Autocar suggests the 156 is very quiet, something like 66dB at 70mph.
To put this in context, a RR Phantom is 63 and an S-class Merc is over
70. Most modern cars clock in around low 70s. db is an exponential
scale, iirc volume doubling every 10 units.
Hello mates11 Apr 2006 06:57 GMT3
Can anyone recomends me an affordable alfa specialist in town (London)?  My
front passanger side seat belt keeps locking (Not easy to pull out).  I took
the car to a local garage unfortunately the problem couldn't be solved.
Thank you all

My 159 has arrived08 Apr 2006 16:17 GMT31
It's arrived! My new 159 - a 1.9 JTS.
So what do I think of it after the first few days driving? Well, the
overall impression is extremely positive. Although it is a very
different car to the 146 I had until now, I very quickly felt at home in
Info for drivers - new speed cameras...08 Apr 2006 12:31 GMT5

145 Cloverleaf Problem08 Apr 2006 12:04 GMT7
My 1996 2.0 Cloverleaf has developed a very annoying habit.
The engine, when returning to idle, will drop to such low revs that it
almost stalls - then will over-correct and rev to about 2,000 rpm.  It will
do this continuously until I start driving again.
159 2.4 Q406 Apr 2006 00:15 GMT2
Anyone know when the 159 2.4JTDm will be offered with the Q4 4WD option?
I read later this year but nothing more concrete.
Has anyone here driven a Q4 159 yet?
Cheers

1966 Sprint GTV series 10505 Apr 2006 10:23 GMT1
I have a Giulia Sprint GTV 1966 which is partly stripped. I have done
extensive work on the shell inc new genuine sills. I would like to get it
finished but as funds are now limited I would like to be sure of getting a
reasonable return.
customer service03 Apr 2006 12:24 GMT20
Regular readers may remember me ranting about a cambelt failure on a 156GTA.
To cut a long story short, I had suggested that I had had a bad deal, having
been charged over £2000 to be told that there was "no damage". Having
written in October and failed to make contact with ...
Just a reminder01 Apr 2006 22:06 GMT7
Spring is just around the corner, so a little reminder that now is
the time to change the air in the tyres of our Alfa's. Old air
results in inferior handling and higher fuel consumption and Alfa
recommends air replacement every 20000 km or 12 months, whichever
