Hi, our Alfa 156, 2.0TS, 2002 is idling like a dog and the engine light is flashing when revved over about 3000. Diagnostic just says misfire on cylinder 1. Spark plug? I sure as hell hope so.

I have a 84 Alfa gtv. There is an 84 Alfetta for sale. How much of the mechanical parts are interchangeable? Is the engine/gearbox/prop shaft/brakes and suspension the same? The body on the gtv is really straight, but mechanically not very sound.

I have finally had enough of my 156 v6. It failed its MOT again (only 4 years old). At least it is consistent with failing the 3 year MOT. My local Alfa dealer quoted me over £550 to fix the problem to get it through the MOT. After telling them to get lost I took the car to a ...

Do some people have a knack of knowing when to sell a car. Our 156 we have had under 3 months has just come out of the garage after breaking down. It has had a new piston, various bearings and a camshaft. Do they know or are they just lucky.
