On my 2000 156 1.8 Sportswagon my hydraulic tank leaked heavily so I took it to service. After fixing the leak the guy told me that also the steering assembly leaked and had to be replaced. He said it was a common problem w. that model and year. Is this just

Is the following device and use in my 156? ebay item 280201276113 - http://tinyurl.com/32ckou Its a 12v solar panel for keeping the battery topped up. Connects to the cigarette lighter, but isn't the circuit to the cigarette lighter switched

Hello chaps! I've currently got a loan of a 2000 (W Reg) 156 2.0 Selespeed, I'm thinking of buying it.... It's only got 44,000 miles and he wants £1400 the only problem (bar a key scratch down one door panel - grrr!)

Can confirm that fords that are 1'6" deep will wreck Alfa 156 diesel engines. It was a bad decison to take a shortcut through the lanes via the ford. (which I've been through a few times before)

Alfa 33 16v Cloverleafs, that is. Makes me wish I'd had mine fixed, rather than flogging it as 'spares or repairs' on ebay.... Wonder how many 75s are left these days?
