How do I replace the antenna28 Jun 2004 00:16 GMT2
I own an 85 fiero SE with a broken off antenna. I doubt I have the skill to
drill out the broken off piece, so a few question.
1. How do you remove the antenna mount? The Haynes book basically says "unbolt
it from the fender". Just a bit too cryptic for me. Do you get to it from

Hi there. I have an 86 GT here in Newfoundland, Canada.
Unfortunately I could not get it to start. When I inspected the
distributor it was very rusty. I have a new cap and rotor to

Help! 87 GT idle is screwy... too low, stalls!22 Jun 2004 04:01 GMT3
My 87 GT is giving me fits!! This is the 2.8L engine.
The engine acts as if the idle is totally uncontrolled. If cold, it will
start and idle at about 1000rpm . However, after it gets warm, it fails to
maintain the usual 900rpm idle, and will either be too high (1100rpm or so)
3.4 engines21 Jun 2004 02:12 GMT3
Most of the info I find about replacing the standard Fiero engine with a 3.4
engine concerns using a Camaro or other front engine/rear drive car.  What
about using an engine from a '96 or later Trans Sport?  Wouldn't the starter be
in the right place?  Wouldn't that mean it's almost ...
A couple of questions.......20 Jun 2004 04:17 GMT2
I have a 1986 Fiero 2.5L, it has an idle problem. It will idle perfect
and then rev up to 1000rpm and either rebound or die. I have traced
and replaced all vacum lines, checked the EGR Diapragm according to
the book and can not find the problem. HELP!!!!
Fiero clutch probs17 Jun 2004 17:45 GMT1
I've got an 88 coupe.  Four years ago I replaced both master and slave
clutch cylinders.  I put in the type 2 master (the tank is in the
middle).  I am wandering if it's possible that I put in the wrong
master slave combination? I understand there is a different slave as
How to get subwoofer unit out of dash?17 Jun 2004 06:13 GMT1
Hi, folks...
The subwoofer speaker in my 87 GT is shot (sounds like a loud fart).
I took a look at the subwoofer enclosure, and all I see are two bolts
holding it in (one screwed to the chime bracket, the other bolted to a
Airy sound in GT intake17 Jun 2004 04:02 GMT1
Hello, again...
My 87 GT sounds very "airy" in the intake... a very loud sucking sound can
be heard through the intake grille on the driver's side.  I have owned two
2M4s in the past and never had that sound (of course, they were 4 cylinders,

I'm haveing a wierd intermittent problem with my 84'fiero iron duke.
When I am driving and I depress the clutch pedal, my RPM's will drop
to about 400-500 and my voltage meter will drop with it drastically to
about 11 volts and the lights will dim out.   After about 5-10 seconds
