84 indy fiero31 Aug 2004 05:13 GMT1
I have a 84 indy fiero that i just purchased. I looked up the rpo codes and
it has 3.18 gear ratio. However, i am concerned about the tranny (and
locking torque converter) because at 65 to 70mph the tach indicates about
3100 rpm. Any thoughts?
GT Tailights?31 Aug 2004 04:30 GMT6
If I bought an 88 4 cyl. would I be able to put the GT taillights (ones that
say Pontiac in light up letters) on the back of it?
Fiero Shifting Problems31 Aug 2004 00:17 GMT9
Hello, I just purchased a 1985 GT with 60,000 miles on it. It's in mint
condition, problem is that when it's not running, it shifts just fine, as
soon as it's running it very hard to shift into any gear. Also when you go
into reverse, it makes a aweful bang sound.
Towing my new Fiero30 Aug 2004 20:08 GMT1
I just got my first fiero an 86 gt, I was wondering if I need to do
anything special to it before I tow it, like disconnect shafts and
whatnot.  Thanks a lot for any help.

'84 engine swap29 Aug 2004 05:57 GMT9
On an '84 Indy Car, What engines would be a direct bolt-in replacement for
the 4 cyl.? How much would they cost (on average)?
I'm looking at swapping for one with a bad engine; should I upgrade or
find a stock 4 cyl. replacement? Does the 4 cyl. have plenty of pep?
Adding Power Features??24 Aug 2004 01:50 GMT8
Say, how hard is it to add power features to an '86 Fiero which doesn't have
them yet?  I'm thinking about power windows and locks.
Any help would be appreciated,
Perry
Just noticed... no fieros in nw..22 Aug 2004 05:44 GMT4
There's no fiero's for sale up here where I live in the NE Corner of Oregon.
That's the NW side of U.S.A.
That's pretty depressing..  Maybe I need to get a car hauler to stick on the
back of our bronco II and go looking farther out.
Need cradle measurements22 Aug 2004 05:14 GMT17
OK so I've started the *project* - the mid-engine V8 Volkswagen Cabriolet.
I'm using Fiero running gear, & I have the body (floorboards &
crossmembers) cut out & the cradle sitting up under the car. I need the
measurements of the cradle to ground with both 195/70-14 & 225/50-15
'87 2.5 4 cyl backfire21 Aug 2004 05:31 GMT17
I'm havin trouble.  My fiero was sittin for a few months and recently I put
it back on the road.  Anyways, It was driving fine, but now it's backfiring
during acceleration.  I've checked the plug wires, O2 sensor, EGR, but I
really  don't have a clue what's goin on.  It runs fine ...
19 inch wheels/gearing21 Aug 2004 02:51 GMT2
Hello I have been assured by tire.com that 19 inch wheels with 35 zr
tires will fit my stock 86 fiero gt. Anyone out there running wheels
this big and if so do I need to change my gears out? what ratio?
Appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks

T-tops & Fiero's, stock?14 Aug 2004 21:16 GMT1
Say, did t-tops come stock on some fiero's?  If I were to put one on, would
it be relatively the same procedure as putting on the sun roof?
Thanks,
PaL
Hydrogen14 Aug 2004 14:05 GMT5
Has anybody thought about what it will take to convert these buggies to
hydrogen?  I still need to do my V8 conversion, and if hydrogen brings the
price of gas down that's good, but eventually we'll need a hydrogen
conversion.  Uh...  and then I guess Mr. Fusion comes after that.
