| 84 indy fiero | 31 Aug 2004 05:13 GMT | 1 |
I have a 84 indy fiero that i just purchased. I looked up the rpo codes and it has 3.18 gear ratio. However, i am concerned about the tranny (and locking torque converter) because at 65 to 70mph the tach indicates about 3100 rpm. Any thoughts?

| Fiero Shifting Problems | 31 Aug 2004 00:17 GMT | 9 |
Hello, I just purchased a 1985 GT with 60,000 miles on it. It's in mint condition, problem is that when it's not running, it shifts just fine, as soon as it's running it very hard to shift into any gear. Also when you go into reverse, it makes a aweful bang sound.

| '84 engine swap | 29 Aug 2004 05:57 GMT | 9 |
On an '84 Indy Car, What engines would be a direct bolt-in replacement for the 4 cyl.? How much would they cost (on average)? I'm looking at swapping for one with a bad engine; should I upgrade or find a stock 4 cyl. replacement? Does the 4 cyl. have plenty of pep?

| Just noticed... no fieros in nw.. | 22 Aug 2004 05:44 GMT | 4 |
There's no fiero's for sale up here where I live in the NE Corner of Oregon. That's the NW side of U.S.A. That's pretty depressing.. Maybe I need to get a car hauler to stick on the back of our bronco II and go looking farther out.

OK so I've started the *project* - the mid-engine V8 Volkswagen Cabriolet. I'm using Fiero running gear, & I have the body (floorboards & crossmembers) cut out & the cradle sitting up under the car. I need the measurements of the cradle to ground with both 195/70-14 & 225/50-15

Say, did t-tops come stock on some fiero's? If I were to put one on, would it be relatively the same procedure as putting on the sun roof? Thanks, PaL

| Hydrogen | 14 Aug 2004 14:05 GMT | 5 |
Has anybody thought about what it will take to convert these buggies to hydrogen? I still need to do my V8 conversion, and if hydrogen brings the price of gas down that's good, but eventually we'll need a hydrogen conversion. Uh... and then I guess Mr. Fusion comes after that.
