Starter / Starting Problems29 Jul 2005 22:26 GMT3
Hey, I’ve got an ’84 4cyl.    As of yesterday, there seems to be a
problem with the starter.  It seems like when I leave it sit for a
while, it will start right up, but after I shut it off and try to
start it up soon after that, it won’t start at all.
Fuel Economy28 Jul 2005 02:03 GMT1
2.8 Fuel Economy???  Ain't such thing!  19-21 sounds just about right on
combination city/highway driving.  Running Air, expect about 19MPG.  No
air??  About 20, mabe 21MPG.  There are exceptions to the rule I guess, but
from my experience with 5 fieros that is about where the ...
improving fuel economy22 Jul 2005 20:27 GMT6
Hi, Recently acquired '86 SE V6, and am surprised/disappointed by lack
of fuel economy.  Orig motor with 145K miles, but runs beautifully.
Great at idle, bogs slightly and briefly when throttle opens, some of
the time.  Thermostat appears to be defective as it never passes 1/4 of

Sticking caliper21 Jul 2005 08:05 GMT5
I have an 86SE with 47k miles, I had to replace the right front rotor a couple
of years ago. Drove it today and I noticed that the left front is sticking
(smell and rim hot to the touch). Is this a common failure, or am I having a
problem because the car is not driven much?

Hey Jazzman,

Error 32 w/ new EGR17 Jul 2005 14:42 GMT17
Had an error 32 on the computer, put in brand new EGR, but I still get
the error 32 (much less frequently though).  It does still have a rather
rough idle as well.  Air filter was a little dirty so I threw in a new one
too, just to be sure.
