Engine Swap30 Dec 2005 04:50 GMT8
Will a Fiero V6 engine from a 4 speed bolt up to an automatic transmission?
I have an opportunity to buy a pair of 1986 Fiero's.  One is a GT with a V6
and an automatic and one is a SE with a V6 and a 4 speed.  The engine in the
GT is totally shot and I would like to take the ...
It's mine,,, big grin21 Dec 2005 05:28 GMT14
I purchased an 88 Formula Fiero this afternoon. Was one of the higher mile
cars I looked at but is pretty tight all and all. Looks pretty good too!
Need to fiddle with the clutch a bit but I am sure it is a matter of pedal
throw etc. No slippage at all, very strong.

column (with tilt wheel). My ignition quit working and i found the

turn the key. one end unlocks the steering and the other end goes down
87 clutch12 Dec 2005 00:35 GMT4
Hi, me again.
I am going to go see the 87 4 banger tomorrow. The seller (young gal) claims
she had a the master and slave replaced but the pedal is very stiff until
the car warms up. This is a new one on me, any ideas?

I found a potential Fiero and am going out to see it this afternoon or in
the morning. It is an 85 GT  manual trans with around 60,000 miles new
clutch and the car has been lowered.
Any special points of interest to pay close attention too, any advice
Clearing Computer Codes07 Dec 2005 02:17 GMT3
Is there a way to clear out the stored codes in the Fiero computer with
out disconnecting the battery?  I'm tired of reprograming my radio.

Cracked Block06 Dec 2005 03:03 GMT6
Last year bought an 87 coupe with the Duke & auto. Was putting oil in the
water but no water in the oil. The mechanic said the head was cracked &
replaced it. Still was getting some oil in the water as seen in the overflow
container. He said it was leftover from the radiator, ...

Hi guys! What a great group you have built up here. I have just read through
the last 600 or so headers and have learned quite a bit!
Not quite sure how I became obsessed with these little gems but I am! and
being a little on the compulsive side all my life I have learned to just ...
