My cruise control works fine with the following exception which has cropped
up on this years frist outing. Cruise is not disengaged completely when
putting on the brake and releasing. With cruise engaged (and cruising) as
long as the brake is held down a little the car will coast ...

Since you all like 2 seaters and everyone years ago was wanting an updated

before I undertake this project, I thought I'd ask if anyone else has had
this
problem. Here are the syptoms:
 1)  car starts poorly ( starts & dies, must keep pumping gas pedal )

I drove my 86 GT to work the other day.  At lunch, I got in it to get
something to eat.  After driving for 5-10 miles on the interstate, I noticed
that when I tried to accellerate, the oil pressure needle was pretty bouncy
(may not matter), the car would hesitate just a little ...

I got a 85 GT last summer 63K miles it has never really ran that good
in my opinion where as the idle runs from 700 to 1000 up and down. It
can also be felt while driving the uneveness at a steady speed of say
35 or 40 mph. While checking the timing it also is not steady at all

My car dies when i put it into gear. I have no first gear at all as it
will not even give me the option of an open 1st gear while engine is
running. I 'need' to drive it to reset my new IAC because the
intructions say it needs to be driven at 40mph in order for it to set

My Fiero has been sitting for years and I live in the North East US so, bad
combo.
I had some exhaust work done and the mech told me the car was very rusty.
I am prepared to begin restoration including all new suspension, brakes,
