Help with car identification29 Nov 2003 05:04 GMT2
A relative of mine came across this photo recently and asked me if I
could identify the car. I wasn't able to so I am looking for some
additional input. No one in the family remembers the car. The photo
was developed in September of 1959.
missed it :(27 Nov 2003 17:15 GMT1
Mr. Patterson,
Although you sent me the starting procedure for that truck, by the time I
got the dealership to test drive it, it had already been sold.
I kept the info for another time :)  I trust that procedure would work on
help identify wheels24 Nov 2003 13:48 GMT1
Just found a pair of steel spoked wheels in my father-in-law's barn.  They
look to my untrained eye to be early 1900's, but I'm just guessing.  The
only identification I can see is the name "Stewart" cast in to the steel at
the hub.  Anyone know what these are?
Determining ignition coil polarity23 Nov 2003 13:50 GMT3
How do I identify which ignition coil terminal is positive and which
is negative.
I'm installing new wiring in a Model A Ford and the instructions
specify that certain wires should be connected to the + terminal and
Old Car Pictures19 Nov 2003 08:39 GMT5
I have a project to identify old family photos.  Some include portions of
cars behind people, most are in not good focus, many are faded.  So I am
looking for pictures of old cars that show enought detail of things like
grills, hood ornaments, wheel spokes, tires, window shapes, ...

following - anybody know of any others?  Thanks.

Electic lights and windows don't work.
Last time it was driven it developed a coolant leak and hasn't been driven since.

What was the proper starting procedure for a 1964 Ford F-100 pickup, having
a manual choke?
I'm interested in one that's for sale in my area, but don't want to have
trouble getting it running.  It's been a long time since I dealt w/ a
newbie advice07 Nov 2003 00:50 GMT3
Hi everyone.  This is my first time posting here, so please forgive me
if I state the obvious or ask a really dumb question.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with a little
information.  I have just inherited a 1962 Thunderbird convertible.
pushing the bounds of historical tags05 Nov 2003 13:07 GMT7
I have a classic car with Missouri antique plates.  Missouri historic
regs limit me to 1,000 miles a year of driving and must keep a journal
in the car recording every trip.
I stay under the 1,000 mile limit just barely, but the complication is
'76 MG Midget and '78 Spitfire 1500 engine swap?04 Nov 2003 15:53 GMT3
The basic question is, can I swap a 1976 MG Midget engine into a 1978
Triumph Spitfire?  To make matters worse I'm in California with all the
smog requirements, fortunately both cars are already California cars
from the factory.
