The Lagonda and the Didicoi: a true moral tale31 Jul 2006 06:10 GMT1
My father's death last year has me recalling this.  Almost fifty years
ago, my father took me on one of his occasional buying trips.  He was a
farm manager, and used to buy machinery from a "didicoi" family in the
East Midlands of England.  "Didicoi" is the term for a settled gypsy,
Cars for a museum24 Jul 2006 02:15 GMT5
If you were starting a general car museum and had room to nicely
display 15 cars, which would you pick? Don't get too esoteric - nothing
rarer than a Cord or Auburn.

Gas mileage info on '78 Buick Regal?14 Jul 2006 01:57 GMT6
I was wondering, is there anywhere (like a website) that would have the
gas mileage figures for an older car, to be specific a 1978 Buick
Regal? The owner's manual doesnt have it, neither does the Chilton's
book, and the govt. site doesn't have cars that old.

Does anyone know where where I can get dry media for my gravity

Model A sump leak04 Jul 2006 15:11 GMT1
Can anyone tell me what the correct seal material is used to seal the
rear end of the sump on a 1928 model A ford. The Sump has a ½ round
cut out that meets a 3/8 grooved section on the main bearing. I would
like advice on the best solution on sealing this section.

Vintage sports car in TV's "Poirot"03 Jul 2006 00:10 GMT1
I am trying to identify the open blue sports car (1920's by the look of
it) filmed in the TV "Poirot" episode, and driven by actress Zoe
Wanamaker.
A million-to-one chance, but if anyone saw it and recognized it -----
Impossible Lamps02 Jul 2006 21:11 GMT4
Does the Lund Headlamp which I am looking at, exist?  I've asked everyone
for months now and the name Lund has not been heard of!  Its just a shallow
chrome shelled 7" lamp with the bezel clamped by bolt - no markings.  The
lamp mounting has a riveted flange, the bulb is a large two ...
