Mounting bracket for hands-free in landcruiser ute28 Feb 2004 06:06 GMT1
All,
About to fit a Nokia vehicle handsfree kit into the Landcruiser work ute.
I'm wondering if anyone makes mounting brackets for these, or do I continue
with the rough looking thing I have made so far?
80 series wagon27 Feb 2004 17:10 GMT49
Looks like the hj60 that I was looking at is not worth thinking about but
what about a series 80 1990 petrol 265,000 for $12,800. plain jane poverty
pack no extras - no bull bar, no steps, nothing. I'd say it's a little dear
but then maybe not?

Good offroad trailer - Brisbane?26 Feb 2004 20:50 GMT8
I'm looking for an off-road trailer in Brisbane.  I don't want a camper,
just off-road suspension in a normal box trailer, perhaps with higher sides.
Any options such as swing out benches, drawers etc, would be considered, but
not necessary.
frazer island25 Feb 2004 22:06 GMT13
Hi all, Planning a trip to Fraser Island next month, can take one of two
cars, Rocky or auto Rav 4, thinking of the Rav as it will be more
comfortable (try driving a Daihatsu rocky long distances, short wheel base 4
wheel leaf springs). anyhow will a Rav 4 make it on Fraser Island ...
86 4 runner fuel comsumption25 Feb 2004 11:57 GMT6
I just purchased an 86 4runner for the missus (2.2 litre, EFI, auto)
We seem to be getting 16 litres per 100 kms in the city. She is not a lead
foot. Is this typical for this particular car? I have gotten better fuel
consumption from an auto falcon panel van or v6 rodeo.

discharge driving lights.
Price, performance etc etc. Gimmick or not.

Bridsville Road Report?24 Feb 2004 09:17 GMT5
Anyone know the current conditions, or a good place to find out?  I'm
planning on heading off from Brisbane in a week for my first desert trip,
but the floods have me a bit worried.  I was planning on heading round the
Birdsville track through to Coober Pedy and then up to Uluru.

Winching and tree protectors22 Feb 2004 22:56 GMT6
I'm about to buy a hand winch and will also need some
sort of tree protector. I already have a 10m webbing
tow rope / winch extension strap, is there any reason
I cannot use that as a tree protector by simply looping
Microfast Tents21 Feb 2004 23:29 GMT6
I'm interested in getting a Microfast tent, specifically probably the Mi-8
(5 person) and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them and
could comment on quality, ease of use etc?  They have no Canberra outlet so
I can't get a look at one without doing a trip to Sydney.

4WD advice19 Feb 2004 12:03 GMT5
Looking at a possible 4WD as a next vehicle but horrified at the fuel
economy on the large wagons ie Landcruiser and Patrol - around town
rates of around 20 litres per 100km is scary!
Was reviewing the Nissan web site and noticed they offer a 3.0 turbo
