I'm looking to upgrade from an Outback to a 2nd hand Nissan Patrol, but confused on which engine type to go for. Anybody got advice/experience they be interested to share? I'm looking for a 98-01 era model probably ST variant.

I have a y2000 Mitsubishi Challenger which has had no problems until recently. The problem is that when the gearbox (or oil in it?) is cold it is difficult to change gears and I have to hold the clutch depressed for a while trying

Anybody have a recommendation for rear shockers for a SWB '92 Pajero? I snapped one last w/e doing a bit of off-road up in them thar hills. I know Old Man Emus are supposed to be good, but pretty $$. Any suggestions (or brands to avoid) would be very welcome! Thanks.

I recently bought a HJ60 Diesel Cruiser and the springs are a little sagged, well allot! The local Autopro bloke can get me 2 inch lift King Springs for $230 each front, and $255 each rear, delivered free to Northern Victoria.

I'm thinking of buying a 1997 Cherokee limited as a 2nd vehicle for a driving holiday (from Perth to the NT) I've done some research into these vehicles and while they seem a pretty decent machine for the money, I've read as many good reviews as bad ones.

The wife and I are interested in the Ford Escape, has any of you heard any adverse comments about these. We are interested in the V6 model and will mainly use it for beach and fossicking in the mountains with lite to medium off road.

To what extent are camper trailers waterproof through river crossings? Does water seep in through the tailgate and any other places that have openings, e.g. pull out kitchen? Manufacturers say the opening points have dust seals but do not mention

I am thinking of purchasing a hand held GPS unit for my land cruiser. I am trying to decide whether to go with a magellan or a garmin unit. Anyone have a personal opinion which one is a better unit of the two? Cheers
