Breaking news - 4WDs are unsafe!28 Mar 2005 09:32 GMT21
I just read a news report that says a study has revealed that 4WDs are more
prone to roll over than a conventional passenger vehicle in a single-vehicle
accident.  Apparently it's to do with the higher centre of gravity.
I'm staggered.  Why weren't we told!  I've been driving ...
Daihatsu Terios rattle?28 Mar 2005 07:20 GMT7
I have a 1998 Terios (SX i think)... that has a really loud intermittent
rattle when the engine hits certain revs... I think it's to do with the
exhaust system....   Has anyone else had this problem with a Terios? and is
it easily fixable?  Any feedback appreciated... Not sure ...

Pajero Motor.24 Mar 2005 06:53 GMT2
What should one expect to pay for a "low km jap import" motor for a 96 3.5L
Pajero. Drive in, drive out prices? (or tow in, drive out).
It's on gas, so has all the extra stuff for that too, if it makes any
difference.

Gerni pressure cleaners?19 Mar 2005 13:24 GMT3
I notice Autobarn have 2000psi Gerni pressure cleaners on
special atm for $199.  Are these any good?  Are they strong enough to be
used to 'degoop' the underside of a 4x4 after offroading, or am I better off
just going to the Superwash and spending $6 every time I ...

The Turbo Diesel GXL 100 series already has 2 batteries installed to cope
with all of the powered accessories etc etc.
Where do I install another battery to operate the fridge, lights etc and
have the ability to isolate it from the original 2 batts.  There is a little
Long Range Tanks and Lokkas14 Mar 2005 08:59 GMT22
I've been told that long range fuel tanks that sit under the fully laden
vehicles rear may impede traction on sand dunes. The reasoning is that with
the extra weight on the back, the front wheels may not get optimal traction.
