Safety of unidirectional tyres going backwards?26 Apr 2004 05:24 GMT21
The subject line is a bit confusing but I was thinking about rotating my
unidirectional tyres from side to side to even out the wear (my left front
always wear out fastest).  But of course this would lead to the tyres
rotating in the wrong direction.
Hyundai + Queen: it's not on26 Apr 2004 02:26 GMT24
I note the new Hyundai advert where they have some awful cover of the
excellent Queen song "I Want It All".  This sort of advertising should be
banned.  Hyundai should be permitted to have a band of the calibre of, say,
Sherbert, and nothing higher than that.
Trivial Question - What's north on your dashboard?26 Apr 2004 01:23 GMT40
When the needle on my Hilux's speedo is pointing straight up, it's
91km/h. When the RPM needle is pointing straight up, it's 3050RPM.
The Corolla's "north" readings are 106km/h and 3900RPM.
How about you?

This should get me through the week without having to fill up. It
might even have a better 0-100 time than my NA Hilux. Although it
might take up a fair amount of my day checking the tyres for parking

my car's recently been stuttering when i accelerate, up
to about 5-10km/h, after which it runs normally. Happens
quite consistently, but only if i'm starting from 0.
It feels like it's going to die, but it doesn't.
Shell - company policy?24 Apr 2004 09:31 GMT17
Last night I rang a Shell station on the other side of Canberra to ask
if they were selling diesel at the same price as milk like the rest of
the servos in Canberra ($1/litre).
The guy says he's not allowed to tell me over the phone - company

Got home tonight after a short drive to the shops for food etc, went back
out to the car and noticed some water like substance on the ground, thought
it was just the a/c, but then rememberd that I had the climate control OFF
on the way out and back home.
