Car recommendations for car dummy?23 Apr 2004 10:19 GMT16
I really hate driving. To the point I waited 10 years before getting my
license. I have managed quite well until recently using public transport and
getting lifts but I'm now in a situation where I will need a car to get to
work. I know less than nothing about cars but I want to do ...

Stereotypical Car Owners?23 Apr 2004 08:36 GMT30
So what do you think?
Do certain makes of vehicles attract a certain type of person?
(I'm not talking about "farmers buying 4wds" or "builders buying utes," or
anything obvious like that.)

Does the Koran mention indicators?22 Apr 2004 16:51 GMT12
I ask because every bloody muslim taxi driver I see on the road hardly ever
use indicators when changing lanes and I'm getting sick of it !
Who gives these blokes their drivers licenses anyway? Theyre all over the
road and have no skills at all.
Hilux diffs.22 Apr 2004 14:37 GMT18
My Hilux has an LSD in the rear (no, I'm not talking about suppository
drug use), but not in the front.
What's to stop me from getting the diff centre etc from another Hilux
LSD and putting that in my front diff? I'd love to have front and rear

Hi guys/girls,

Favorite car owned driven.22 Apr 2004 10:30 GMT41
My favorite car owned was my R33 Nissan Skyline GTS-T.  Bog stock it had
heaps of power, really controlled oversteer and was quiet and sedate on a
long run.  Electric everything and kick a.s aircon.  It was reliable as hell
and in 15 months of ownership it never missed a beat.

Diesel just went through the roof.22 Apr 2004 03:30 GMT15
I noticed the other day that my usual fuel stop in Goulburn raised the
price of diesel from 92.9 to 98.9. The next day the Mobil went from
95.9 to 100.9.
"Damn" I thought, "but at least I've still got that 92.5 place in
