All, What are the differences between the 2.8l Diesel and 3.0l diesel when looking at purchasing a 2000 model Hiace van. I notice that mid year Toyota changed from one to the other. Can i expect a noticeable performance gain?

If you took a piston motor and doubled the mass of all the moving parts what effect would this have on it's power curve? This is assuming that everything in the engine is strong enough not to break at similar rpm and that the extra mass doesn't cause other adverse effects such as ...
