I've seen it in an EA2, EL, AU and BA... when the tank is "fuller than
full" the fuel gauge will sometimes consistently show empty until you
use a bit of fuel, or flip back and forth between empty and full.
I'm guessing it's a failsafe: the dash is detecting a sensor out of
