optimum street use) CR and "bolt-on" gear (carbs.exhaust etc) can have
dramatically different economy, yet pass emmisions. Where does the extra
fuel and therefore power, go? It seems the answer is, the less ...

Not many bargains at this one..
Hard to believe $37k for a 4 door HQ Monaro 350 or $73k for a
walkinshaw. A 62 Caddy for $109k seems outrageous.
Prices here

In 2000 I bought an adaptor kit to mount a Subaru engine to an
automatic VW Kombi.
I *think* I bought the adaptor from a firm called "Marks Adaptors" on
the Gold Coast.

I've just bought a Renault 25 1985 ex-auto with manual gearbox conversion
Hey look since seeing one in a boy-racer's car 30 plus years ago, I've
always liked the idea of having a Hurst-Vertigate style gearshifter in a
car.

New car: wax, polish or not?12 Feb 2007 19:47 GMT25
Ignoring the usual (but not universal) hard sell for paint protection
("Nice car you 'ave 'ere; be a shame if anything were to ... 'appen to
it..."),  what should/shouldn't you do to protect the paint on a new car?
I've heard that new paint should be allowed to "cure" for several ...
