Unfortunate limitation of side mirrors in Caprice05 Apr 2007 00:24 GMT8
I drove a current model Caprice (whatever the Caprice equivalent for the VE
Commodore is - W?) for the first time just recently, and I discovered an
annoying limitation with the passenger-side mirror - I could not position it
so that I could see the rear wheel. I'm a chauffeur ...
PAcific Internet Customers Take note04 Apr 2007 15:10 GMT17
I was just informed that Pacific Internet is shutting down its News server
on the 16th of  this month. I for one, rely on these groups to get (and
share) information, opinions etc. and feel it is a retrograde step to shut
us off. Anyway, if you are a Pacific customer and feel the ...

The Optimal Fuel Efficient RPM04 Apr 2007 07:01 GMT5
I drive with manual transmission and want to drive as fuel efficiently
as possible. I am told by my brother that while driving I should
maintain about 2000 rpms at all times as this is optimal. In 3rd gear
while I'm going at 60km/h my rpm is about 2100. If I switch into 4th
Ford, thats more like it!04 Apr 2007 06:46 GMT2
Just released, 1000 only [All would be pre sold]
540HP is getting on.
The engine *could* live under the bonnet of a FPV GT Falcon....

Trip computer in Magna TJ04 Apr 2007 05:48 GMT1
I've got a Magna Sports (TJ model)  Had the car since new in 2000 and it has
travelled just over 56,000km.  The trip computer has been giving some
strange readings recently.  Each time I refuel I reset the trip computer
(hold button down for more than two seconds - two beeps).
Which oil for sick Festiva?04 Apr 2007 05:20 GMT17
My partner owns a 96 Ford Festiva with a 1.3L motor and 240,000k's on
it.  I have been doing my best to look after it and it's now looking and
running pretty shmick.  The only problem with it now is it's using a
fair bit of oil.  There's no trace of oil at the bottom of the motor ...
LPG Falcon wont start04 Apr 2007 01:27 GMT15
As I turned onto William Street in Sydney today, my BA egas Falcon
decided to stop - in the middle of the bloody intersection. It was lucky
that I was facing down hill so I was able roll out of the way of the
traffic.

ASTRA Service costs03 Apr 2007 12:21 GMT10
This is for clockmeister,
What service costs are envolved in the timing belt/water pump service? Not
keen to be ripped off!
I think the car is worth buying but my GF is cautious as per usual! :-)
This is a classic03 Apr 2007 08:03 GMT5

Reminds me of that episode of itchy and scratch where itchy and scratchy
start producing bigger and bigger weapons until they have something the size
of the earth. Except these guys are not cartoon characters....
What would you do in this driving situation?03 Apr 2007 03:05 GMT18
You're turning right into a side st for a while but traffic is heavy and
you've been waiting a while. The street has a set of lights which you can
turn on either general green or green arrow. There is a small gap in the
traffic which will require 'prompt' manoeuvre to turn in ...
