"The Pinkie" is the new "Bird" ; p31 Jul 2007 21:55 GMT3
Changed lanes today (in a perfectly safe manner), which really gave
the guy behind the sh.ts, so he sat on the horn for a bit (he was

Roundabout 'give-way' etiquette31 Jul 2007 14:05 GMT115
Was approaching a large roundabout today; just before I entered (doing
about 30kmh) the car entering from the left decided to go. This
necessitated some hard braking to avoid a collision, but just as I was
about to use the horn (a very rare occurrence anyway), I got to

I noticed on the way out to thorpdale this morning a candycar had puled up a
young P plater, I just thought, maybe he was speeding, coming back I noticed
him again, another young driver, then I realised the problem, the "tax
collector" has decreased the speed limit from 100 to 80 ...
Navman in-car GPS31 Jul 2007 07:47 GMT14
I got a Navman N40i with some credit card points, but I think it's
faulty.  They claim 4-5 hours battery life in use, but I can't find data
on how long the battery should hold its charge when the unit is turned off.
The battery will go flat overnight, from fully charged!  I turn ...
Gotcha!31 Jul 2007 07:17 GMT17
Was driving back from the snow past Hume (ACT) on the Monaro Highway
when I overtook a Murrays bus doing 80km/h.  If you know the area then
they have reduced the road speed past the Queanbeyan turn-off from 100
to 80 to allow for the new ACT jail.

G'day Athol
I have just bought a 5.0 litre VN engine for the Monza and was
wondering if you still have to have the fuel tank restrictor fitted to
the neck of the fuel tank.
