1/4 mile claims09 Mar 2008 07:20 GMT71
Does anyone remember that "general rule" formula that estimates a
quarter mile time based on nothing but power and weight?
A friend of a friend had an ECU reflash and the other usual things
people do to modern cars (exhaust, cold air, etc) and now gets 277kW
I wish it was like this all the time :-)09 Mar 2008 07:16 GMT20

OK all you Kombi owners09 Mar 2008 07:07 GMT8
Apparantly, you can put a Subaru engine in them without too much difficulty.

Fitting a WRX engine would surely let it do wheelstands.

Subaru SVX09 Mar 2008 06:33 GMT12
Just came back from the bank and spotted one of these at the lights. Very
smart looking car (for a Subey) and it took off quite quickly. So I decide
to do some checking up on it and found its a 3.3lt flat 6 and was built for
the Pommy bastards market. (just for you JT).

Scrapyard Challenge - ABC2 @ 6:35pm09 Mar 2008 05:49 GMT6
Watched this last night for first time. Two teams were let loose in a
scrapyard to gather whatever they needed to build a fire boat each. It
had to float, move across a lake, put out a raging fire and return.
Awesome stuff! One team modified an old Land Rover which they cut in
will new Falcon go the way of the 380?09 Mar 2008 02:03 GMT86
Just some thoughts on the new Falcon launch vs the 380 launch a few years
back.
At a time when environmentalism is becoming mainstream, the public is moving
away from 6's to smaller cars, and fuel prices are on a high, another car is
Battery lifespan09 Mar 2008 01:15 GMT51
Had to change the battery on the 04 Lancer ES today. First time since new.
NRMA bloke told me that a normal battery for me car has about 350amps and
my one was reading 88amps. So time to change.
I was also told by another fellow that a 3yo battery is due for replacement

RACQ says Mazda 3 better than Mitsu Lancer and Ford Focus.08 Mar 2008 19:56 GMT12
Those dumb pricks at the RACQ must have been on the piss at Mazda all
f.cking week to place it in a league above the Lancer and Focus. f.ck me, 3
shitboxes for a shithouse result! Having driven the 3 of them, I would rate
the Mitsu as the better of the 3 by a long shot, followed ...

auto 1993 Pajero 7 seat wagon $4,50008 Mar 2008 15:11 GMT8
As you have all probably guessed by now, I'm on the prowl for a cheapie 4WD.
Unfortunately the Cherokee I looked at Friday, seems to have too much to be
done to it to even get a roadworthy, so I'm putting it on the backburner.
Now I have just seen a Pajero in a not too shabby ...
Ping Jeremy or Athol08 Mar 2008 12:47 GMT12
Or anyone who regularly drives the M2 or M7 in Sydney.
I got this suspect email yesterday. Just wondering if there's any
truth to it as I can't find anything on their website. Sounds like BS
to me.
