I noticed that diesels have a lot of torque below idle. If you let the revs
of the engine drop when idling up a hill when the revs get to around idle
you suddenly get a lot of extra torque. Is this just the way they work or is
the computer opening the throttle some?

After a scary bit of brake lockup on the weekend I've changed the front caliper
on the passenger side for a rebuilt one, done the pads and changed the flexi
hoses on the FJ60 Landcruiser.  Now the bastard of a thing won't bleed.  Spent
