VS Commodore Head Unit22 May 2008 11:43 GMT9
Would anybody be able to help me out with replacing the head unit in my VS.
Are there screws, etc to take out and any particular head unit. Is the
installation easy enough? Thanks.
At what speed do airbags go off in an accident?22 May 2008 08:39 GMT34
I went to have a look at a Mondeo for parts that had rear ended a bus.
The guy said his niece had hit the bus at around 60 k's. Strange thing
was the airbags hadn't gone off. Do they have a set speed they go off or
could it have been disconnected?

Replacing steering wheel in cars... airbag affected?!22 May 2008 01:40 GMT7
I see a lot of cars for sale with aftermarket steering wheels (I.e. Momo)
and I'm wondering, wouldn't this affect the operation of the airbag, as
that's contained in the steering wheel?
How does a power meter work?21 May 2008 14:34 GMT7
IIRC the latest Bentleys have a meter that tells you how much power
you have in reserve, going from 100% to 0%. How does it work?
Revolting taxi drivers21 May 2008 14:25 GMT12
With all these revolting taxi drivers lurking around, all claiming that
being bashed is no longer acceptable (bunch of wimps) - I wonder why the LTI
(London cabs) taxis have not been imported?
They have a secure driver compartment, seat 5 passengers plus the driver,

My car has started making a tapping sound for quite some time after the car
is switched off, and also when the car is running for that matter.  What
could this be?
Top Gear "new" series next month21 May 2008 13:15 GMT3
How many years behind is this one?
Will we see a review of the Hispano Suiza?
New-fangled radial tyres?
Will Oswald Mosely be the celebrity in a reasonably-priced car?
story about tyres on TV tonight21 May 2008 13:01 GMT84
Hi who else saw the TV story about tyre retailing tonight? I didn't get all
of it (wasn't home until it was part-way through) but I noticed a lot of
talk about how we're all supposed to replace tyres after they're x number of
years old, and if they are more than a few years old ...

need advice on noisy 4x4 hilux diff - Also posted in aus.cars.offroad21 May 2008 00:46 GMT11
My old Hilux ( 84 LN65 2.4 diesel ) has started making "clack - clack"
noises especially loud when backing off , it disapears when I'm coasting
with the clutch in.
At first I thought it was the gearbox as there is a (different) noise in 5th

Libs want to reduce Excise on petrol20 May 2008 22:05 GMT38
Funny how when they were in office they were quite reluctant to do this
and Howard said it wouldn't really do anything to help
Now Brendon Nelson says Labor should do the right thing and reduce the
Excise by 5cpl, I think he forgot to add "Unlike the Liberal Govt"
