Recent Aldi purchases30 Aug 2008 14:58 GMT14
First off: Sorry for the crosspost.
On Thursday morning (after elbowing my way through the bargain hunters) I
purchased a Pure car stereo from Aldi, for the boss's 1989 Telstar. It cost
80 Bucks. It's a bloody rip-snorter. It plays CDs, CD-RWs, MP3 disks, USB
Advantages of FWD cars30 Aug 2008 14:58 GMT40
Does anyone but the hardcore Aussie V8 buyer really care about which wheels
drive their car.
The vast majority of cars on the road are now front wheel drive, including

New Jaguar XF price US versus AU30 Aug 2008 14:24 GMT12
US : 4.2L V8 (base model there) costs $49,950.  This equates to about double
the price of a well-specced Honda Accord, which is *very* reasonable.
The equivalent model here is $134,850, which is 2.7 times the US price.  For
that money you could get 3 Accord V6s and a 1.5L Jazz.

everyone to pass them in a single lane.

Don Bradman's 100th birthday.30 Aug 2008 10:21 GMT18
This week the media were noting that it's 100 years since the birth of
Don Bradman. What exactly is the significance of '100' years for The
Don?
Surely we should be celebrating 99.93 years from his birthday.

First 4WD station wagon to be marketed in Oz?30 Aug 2008 09:34 GMT16
Got asked today by someone who thought he knew the answer, which
happened to be the same as mine so it's probably an easy question. :)
I'd also ask when (and I don't know the exact year)?
