Chiptuning a A4 2.5 TDI11 Apr 2004 17:50 GMT1
I'm recently the proud owner of the beautifull A4 Avant 2.5 TDI quattro...
Can anyone give me some advice regarding chiptuning the 150bhp 2.5 TDI A4
(built end 2000)? I've already 100k miles on it. Does it make sense? Are
there any possible damages after this mileage? What are the ...
Audi s4 wheel bearing problems10 Apr 2004 22:12 GMT8
I have a 2000 Audi s4, and have had to replace 5 bearings in the last
2 years (ie one twice - but that may have been related to
installation?)
Has anyone had any problems with wheel bearing in a northern salt
leaking water pump10 Apr 2004 18:51 GMT3
Today I had the radiator replaced on my 1998.5 A4Q 2.8, and the dealer
told me I need a new water pump because mine is leaking.  I had that
thing replaced in December 2002 (and at that time, the original one
was not leaking) along with the timing belt, etc.  Is this normal?
Save money by importing?10 Apr 2004 16:52 GMT1
We have been importing Audi for 20 years and we still cannot
understand why anyone would want to pay the full dealer price.
At the moment we have the A4 Avant 1.9 TDI 130 BHP Automatic for just
over £23,000.
Any problems with the 2000 TT10 Apr 2004 11:09 GMT5
I am thinking about buying a 2000 TT but I know it was the first year
of production and am a bit hesitant.
Does anyone have any comments, good and bad about this car and what I
should be concerned about?
Does anyone rate the 1.9TDi A4?09 Apr 2004 12:36 GMT2
I've heard the latest 1.9TDi model of the A4 is a bit of a
disappointment although the A3 is nippy enough.
The only 1.9Tdi i ever had was a SEAT IBIZA and it was a flyer.
Is the Audi really that bad - I really like the look of the car but

Audi salvage yard09 Apr 2004 04:45 GMT4
Anyone have a list of salvage years that specialize in Audis? I have a 96
that I need or will soon need some parts. Right now I need new leather for
the front seats of my 96 A6. The dealer wanted over $3K plus installation
estimated at $800.  LOL
finding a vacuum leak on an 88' Audi 9008 Apr 2004 19:39 GMT9
I'm new to working on cars, and yes I've ordered the Bentley manual,
but it won't be here for another few days or so. In the meantime, I'm
trying to locate what I think is a vacuum leak.
There is a sound that that best could be described as the sound the

You've heard all my stories about this car.  Well, not *exactly* this
one, but it *looks* just like it ... except for the interior ...
New-TB fallout07 Apr 2004 21:30 GMT6
I have noticed that after having my TB replaced - as the old one would not
perform adaptation - revs do not drop sharply when lifting the accelerator
pedal. This is particularly annoying when changing gears in my manual
tranny, as it is then nearly impossible to perform a smooth ...
Catalytic converter & Temp sender.07 Apr 2004 20:51 GMT2
I've been told that the Catalytic converter on my Audi A4 Avant (1999)
1.8 Auto has failed because of the temperature sensor failing. The cat
failure must be bad, becuse the engine will only get the car to 30-40
MPH! I'm not convinced that it is the cat.
