The cruise control on my '98 A6 disconnects randomly while driving.
It won't accept a new speed or a 'resume' until after it is switched
off and then back on. Sometimes it takes several minutes of being
turned off before it will function again.

My '99 TT (180hp, FWD) has developed a strange noise, presumably
coming from the transmission. Whenever the gas is pushed or
released a loud "tick" can be heard. It's most obvious in first

Yesterday my driver side window failed to raise up. There was a small snap
and the "plink" of some small part hitting the bottom of the door cavity.
The motor still tries to raise the window, but it just tries for a second

My 2002 A4 with 3 litre 6speed, has a troubling noise when started
cold.  The engine makes a sound like worn or dry lifters.  The clatter

i recently purchased a xenon housin kit for my a4 1997. what i need to know
is i got daytime runners that run all the time. but at night, when i turn on
the inside lighting for the speedometer readouts, etc, i see absolutely no
change in my headlight output. is something blown? ...

Would it be normal for the digital clock inside the tachometer
to be illuminated?
The tachometer itself is, though slightly dimmer in the redline
area.

Hi, Does anyone know how to find the engine code on AUDI80 1.8S 1987

Over the past few months I have been experiencing problems starting my car
(1996 A4, 1.8, 83,000 miles).
On occasions it takes me 4 - 8 attempts to start the engine. There does not
seem to be any pattern as to when this is likely to happen.

GSF seem to sell a Cat. for the A4 for about ?135 - the Genuine Audi part is
?260 - has anyone tried the GSF part & have any comments on it re any
additional noise or how well it fits etc?
