My 2.0 litre diesel A3 has the direct shift gearbox which is generally
pretty good. Occasionally though it can't seem to make it's mind up which
gear to select, especially when trying to accelerate say off a roundabout,
when there is a noticeable flat spot.

Anybody aware of an alternate location for a switch to turn off the theft
alarm internal sensor? My manual says such a switch exists in the doorwell,
in case you keep pets in the car or something. But my 99.5 A4 1.8T does not
have a switch where the manual says there should be.

I am thinking of changing car from an A6 1.8T Saloon with Multitronic to an
A6 Avant Diesel? tiptronic or Multitronic.
Anyone got any advice on the best combination or should I stick with Petrol
?

Can someone tell me if Audi included the Electronic stabilization program as
standard equipment on a 1996 A4 with a standard suspension?
