99 Audi A4 1.8T Check Engine Light25 Oct 2004 23:34 GMT2
The check engine light started blinking.  The A4 has lost power and shakes
at low RPM.  Have you had this problem and what was the cause?  The dealer
didn't want to speculate over the phone but mentioned that the coil may be
malfunctioning.

I'm new to this forum so apologies if this is old ground, but I have just
bought a '97 A4 TDi Avant and found that I've inherited some problems that I
didn't notice on inspection. (once a sucker...)
When starting from cold the engine fires up okay, but as soon as you drive

The Running lights issue23 Oct 2004 04:03 GMT1
I bought an A4 03 with standard halogen headlights. Curious....my 99 Passat

Xenon headlights also an upgrade.....I must admit...it does begin to look
like a status thing...when you see the B'mrs and the ...
A4 speedo accuracy22 Oct 2004 21:13 GMT9
Anyone done any tests of how accurate the A4 speedo is (UK 2003 in this
case)?  I normally cruise around at ~80mph in 70 limits and have never been
troubled before but I've now had some (ahem) unwanted attention and wonder
if my earlier cars read 5~10% high and my Audi doesn't.

Trouble shifting after clutch replacement20 Oct 2004 03:53 GMT2
Hi, I had the clutch replaced ('86 5000 TQ), all the gears except 1 and
2 go in easy, gears 1 and 2 I have to push the stick as far to the side
(left of course) as possible and then it will shift. Is this normal
because the clutch is new or should I go back to the mechanic?

see if your Audi has any stored engine codes when it starts to run bad?

Any Audis with two-stage gas pedal?19 Oct 2004 20:48 GMT14
I remember my neighbour's old 90 2.3E had a gas pedal which I found to be
very comfortable on long journeys as it had two stages with different levels
of foot pressure necessary to depress it, i.e., for the first third of its
length only mild food pressure would depress it, which ...
Help - 17" wheel size (offset) for 2005 S4 Cabriolet19 Oct 2004 07:21 GMT6
I recently purchased a 2005 S4 Cabriolet. WHAT a machine!
It came with 18" AVUS S4 wheels (235/40-18 Tires). I am interested in
purchasing 17" wheels for the snowy Connecticut winters and was hoping I
could get some feedback on exact wheel size.
