The check engine light started blinking.  The A4 has lost power and shakes
at low RPM.  Have you had this problem and what was the cause?  The dealer
didn't want to speculate over the phone but mentioned that the coil may be
malfunctioning.

I have a 80 2.0e 3A engine, allthough I can rev to the red line in neutral
I cant seem to take it past 5k while being drivern, I have allready changed
plugs and filters any ideas?

Well, I finally finished the job replacing the timing belt.
I am posting the experince  to alert Audi owners to pay attention
to this crucial maintenance items.
I waited 17 years, and did nothing, knowing full well what can happen.

I'm new to this forum so apologies if this is old ground, but I have just
bought a '97 A4 TDi Avant and found that I've inherited some problems that I
didn't notice on inspection. (once a sucker...)
When starting from cold the engine fires up okay, but as soon as you drive

I'm looking for one in good condition at a reasonable price.

Can someone explain why our American cousins change the engine oil between
2000 and 5000 miles?
I've a 2002 A6  1.9 TDI and I've changed it as the computer has called for a
service - between 18K & 20K.

I bought an A4 03 with standard halogen headlights. Curious....my 99 Passat
had daytime running lights. Is this an upgrade for the Audi? And.....is the
Xenon headlights also an upgrade.....I must admit...it does begin to look
like a status thing...when you see the B'mrs and the ...

Anyone done any tests of how accurate the A4 speedo is (UK 2003 in this
case)?  I normally cruise around at ~80mph in 70 limits and have never been
troubled before but I've now had some (ahem) unwanted attention and wonder
if my earlier cars read 5~10% high and my Audi doesn't.

I haven't been able locate the location of the thermostat on my '90 Audi 90.
Can anyone describe its location for me?

Hi, I had the clutch replaced ('86 5000 TQ), all the gears except 1 and
2 go in easy, gears 1 and 2 I have to push the stick as far to the side
(left of course) as possible and then it will shift. Is this normal
because the clutch is new or should I go back to the mechanic?

Does a 1995 Audi Quartro have on board diagnostics and how do you check to
see if your Audi has any stored engine codes when it starts to run bad?

It came with 18" AVUS S4 wheels (235/40-18 Tires). I am interested in
